My Life is in His Hands

On my way to school, I thought to myself that it has been a long time since I go shopping it would be great if I have some shopping money. God has been providing me with daily allowancws and school fees and I thought to myself not to be so greedy.

You will not believe this. I received a pack of money on my table and the note writes: 'your spending money'. Amazing Right! My jaw dropped after reading the note. PTL!

This week in class we are going to learn about forgiveness and restoration of a street child. Today the speaker spoke to us about child soldier. She showed us picture on this african child holding on to a rifle and a teddy bear bagpack behind him. It broke many of our hearts to see a 12 yr ols boy holding the rifle and the teddy bear. You can see that the bear is his friend and secruity and why should he be a child soldier?

In many parts of Africa, adults (including govt bodies) abduct children as young as 3yr old to join child army. They were trained to use rifles, kill and chop up bodies. Can't imagine what trauma that the children has to go through. Some manage to escape but most end up being chop up either by peers or siblings. In this part of Africa (SL), when the child is 'recruited' as a child soldier, he/she are to kill one or all their family members or to burn down their house so that their security in families are destroyed and be committed to the child soldier army. There are many images on these children, go to googles images and type in war child, child soldier, children on glue, children smoking. You will see all these shocking pictures and wonder why aren't they enjoying their childhood.

After hearing all these, I can't help but thank God for our govt. Well, though many pple complaint and passed bad comments on Singapore govt, at least they are not corrupted like other countries govt and the most important thing is that they cherish and value children. They believed children are the future and encourage singapore families to practice love and harmony. Some countries treat the children valueless and in Columbia, the cops kills the street children for they cant be bothered to solve the street problem. Disgusted by them.
