Mozart and the Whale

Starring Josh Hartnett (the pearl harbour guy) and Radha Mitchell (finding neverland).

Its about the love story about two people who have Asperger's syndrome (an Autism spectrum disorder).

Donald (Josh) is a mathematical fanatic. If he is stressed or nervous, he will blabber out numbers non-stop. On the other hand, Isabelle (Radha) is good at art and music, once she start talking, she cannot stop. There are sometimes she will shout before she talks. Donald likes organising of other people's life and he enjoys peace while Isabelle is the total opposite.

Why is it titled Mozart and the whale? Well, in one of the scene, Isabelle dated Donald out for Halloween party. Isabelle dressed as Mozart and Donald dressed as the whale..... They both agree, that it is who they are underneath the costume. It is interesting and touching seeing how 2 people AS trying to live as a couple and how they try to live and work normally as the other people who doesn't have AS.

Oh not forgetting the group of AS friends in Donald's AS support group. They helped me to understand that peoplr who have AS may not have the same 'prob' or 'syptom'. They all have different problems and it is sad to know they are also categorised as castouts...

Thought the movie was good though a little slow paced. Josh Hartnett did a very good job esp. in the scene when he spoke to Isabelle's Psy Dr. His body language and the way he avoided to look in the eyes of the Dr. was classic. He nailed it totally.
