First time

Wel, if you know me well enough you will know that my mandarin is 'half past six'. I helped with translation for Chinese church yesterday.

I was very nervous as my Mandarin is that great. The pastor who preached (VFC) was a great man of God. When he preaches, he preached in authority and excitement.

The 1st half was pretty difficult for me as a young man sitting in front tried to translate as well and he was louder than me and it obviously interuppted my thoughts. I was rather anxious and had to ask the pastor to repeat a few times. 2nd half was better because his pastor asked him to stop translating. Phew... Then I managed to translate better and uninteruppted.

It was not very fun but definitely challenging my faith and alertness in listening to the sermon.
